Senior Category Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional candidate to become part of the success story and join the zooplus team in our modern office in the heart of Oxford.  

As Senior Category Manager, you will take primary responsibility for the management and development of one of our Lead Supplier Accounts.

Key responsibilities:

  • Autonomous product range planning and implementation including listing and delisting decisions
  • Planning, development and execution of marketing promotions
  • Monitoring and analysis of supplier and category performance
  • Sales forecasting on account level
  • Conducting market, competition and range analyses as well as price comparisons
  • Responsible for defining and executing a local brand strategy including acquisition of new suppliers
  • Key contact for negotiating and specifying framework conditions and promotions with suppliers
  • Actively managing the relationship with internal departments like Purchasing, Sales, Supply Chain Management and Accounting


What we are looking for

  • Graduate degree in a business-related discipline
  • Significant and relevant work experience in the FMCG industry or retail business as a (Senior) Category Manager, Vendor Manager and/or Buyer, ideally in e-commerce
  • Experience in an international working environment combined with excellent intercultural communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a very dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and communication skills (internally and externally)
  • Experience in leading supplier negotiations
  • Distinct ability to understand and implement customer needs and market requirements
  • Proficient in MS-Office, especially in MS Excel and Powerpoint
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills, further languages are an advantage
